Guerlain

Founded in 1828 by Pierre-Pascal Guerlain Franccois, the company has been managed by members of the Guerlain family until 1994, when it was taken over by the LVMH group, a multinational company specializing in luxury brands. Since 1992, Jean Paul Guerlain is the director of the company and the leading perfumer. Jean Paul Guerlain perfumes are accomplishing for the family business since the fifties.
In 1921, Shalimar perfume is produced, one of the first fragrances to use the vanilla, which will become one of the main hallmarks of Guerlain, and one of the scents that most inspire the production of perfumes to come. Another perfume that will mark the most fortunate to be Vetiver Guerlain scent for men created in 1956 by Jean Paul Guerlain.

Guerlain is one of the few brands that have existed for years, producing and marketing only perfume, which only in recent years have been added alucne lines of cosmetics.
Since its founding in 1828, the Guerlain has created more than 300 fragrances, among which include: Shalimar, Mitsuko, Vetiver, Samsara, L'Instant, Aqua Allegoria, down to the 'Idylle recent, released in autumn 2009.
