La Prada SpA is a famous Italian fashion house
Originally known as Fratelli Prada, the fashion house was founded in 1913 by Mario Prada. In 1978, Mario's granddaughter, Miuccia Prada inherited the company, while the market for leather, and brought to the forefront of international fashion shows, making it one of the most prestigious and well known to the world.
Miuccia met initial success thanks to its creative use of innovative materials, which launched in 1985 a simple and modern handbags made with a black shiny nylon parachute. The line received an immediate commercial success, but in parallel with the high prices in favor of the illegal trade of goods branded Prada (which now takes international characters).
The first prêt-à-porter Prada weblog was designed by Miuccia Prada in the autumn / winter of 1989. Line clear and elegant, in sharp contrast to the flamboyant style of the other labels, contributed to a steep rise in popularity of the brand. Later in New York was exhibited at the prestigious MoMA's innovative nylon backpack and this gave the company the opportunity to expand in the United States by purchasing a new slice of the market.
